On December 13th, 2011 over 220 alumni and friends of UBC gathered at the Four Season’s Hotel to help UBC launch the start an evolution campaign in Asia.
Everyone was very pleased to have UBC’s Chancellor and Campaign Cabinet member, Sarah Morgan-Silvester co-host the campaign celebrations with UBC President Stephen Toope. Also in attendance were local Campaign Cabinet members, Dr. Anthony Cheng (Governor, UBC Alumni Association – HK) , Mr. Joseph Yu (Founding Chairman of the UBC Alumni Association – HK) and Mr. Sheldon Trainor.
It was a very enjoyable evening, everyone learned more about UBC’s impact in the Asia Pacific region and programs on our campuses which engage international students. The stories and videos were inspiring and everyone was energized to do even more to support UBC with their time, talent and treasure. The celebration was followed by the annual UBC Alumni Association Hong Kong Christmas party, with a variety of fun games and lots of great prizes.
